Op Size 8 update!

Sooooo I am now 4kg down in 4 weeks!!! pretty stoked!!! I feel better with most of my food choices, and I have still been able to have the odd chocolate bar or allens lolly without feeling guilty which is great! Today I hit the gym witn a 3km run, well short of the 10km I was able to easily run at this time last year but I will get there, tomorrow I will aim for 4km and I will increase from there. I also spent 35 mins doing weights! Lets get toned!!! especially the arms for the wedding dress! let's hope I can keep this up!

I need to do my measurements again and update you all on any cm's lost! hopefully the weight loss will begin to be noticable in the next few weeks! Im definitely most excited to live a healthier lifestyle again and I am determined to be able to run my 10km in 35 minutes like I used to be able too.

There wasnt a lot of wedding planning done today! I am now on a mission to find a cake style and maker, hopefully $400 or less! I think I am going to look around locally before entrusting another person from the city! I also booked myself and friends in for a bit of a dress shop in a few weeks alll exciting stuff!!!

Well I start my new role again tomorrow!! Im hoping I enjoy it as much as I used to, I am definitely looking forward to catching up with my old friends! Also tonight I am signing myself up for netball which is hopefully going to be good fun! and help me achieve my weightloss goals moving forward!

The last time.

Morning all, I'm on the train again but today is special as its the last time that I will be. It's a strange feeling as it doesn't feel like this is the last time I'll be going to work in the city, but thankfully it is because I am exhausted! For the first time I actually just slept on the train from drouin to sandown which is about 40 minutes worth and I've woken up feeling pretty shotty...hungover feeling almost.

Anyways back to the wedding. The photographer has been tentatively booked for our wedding day, we both felt very comfortable with him and he offered great prices and we get all photos on disk to print which is great, his name is Jordan of melbourne and I recommend that you check him out, once we pay the deposit the booking will be finalized.

The reception entertainment has also been tentatively booked, one of the best priced dj's/mc that we have come across! He also comes with a great recommendation from a close friend so we are hoping all works out well, his name is Darren Watson, and I can't wait to talk to him about all our song choices! This will be fun!!

The wedding florist is Prue Evans, a friend of one the fiancées work colleagues! I have sent off my requests and hopefully get a quote later in the week of what sort of price range we will be looking at. She has done some wonderful high profile weddings so I am excited to see her work and I'm sure it's going to be stunning!

Lastly we are still deciding on wedding cars, whether we need them or not, what we can get for a good price and also considering just hiring some luxury style commodores or statesmans from budget or Avis for the day, as this is considerably cheaper than some of our other options.

As mentioned the celebrant has been booked, Mick Jungwirth, one of our school teachers from back in the day, someone we know, someone we trust and definitely someone with a good sense of humor to make the day a great one for everybody.

I have contacted a few invitation companies for a quote for invites, RSVP cards, and wishing well cards, and I have decided that place cards will be the bomboniere (which I have a surprise which I leave for the day on how I do that one) and programs I will also do myself.

Everything is slowly but surely starting to fall into place, with bridesmaid and my dress shopping coming up in a few weeks, as well as another expo, I think by the end of feb, we will know exactly what we want, have our budget set and then we can get into the nitty gritty of it all.

As well as this planning I also get to start my new/old job back as a lab tech this week and I am so excited but I did want to say that my opportunities at ninemsn and planet surf were just what I needed to get back out there, lovely team environments, good processes and great confidence building, so to all those I worked with at these two places thank you for helping me get my career mojo back!!

Well it's almost time to get off the train for the lucky last time to go to work at the pretty stylish channel 9 building! Let's hope it's a great day for everyone!!!

Book book bookings

Yesterday was very productive! Photographer has been booked, I also requested quotes for Cadillacs which I must say are pretty awesome, invitations, flowers and music! So things are really starting to come together. It's also making it a lot easier to finalize our budget and how many guests we can invite to the big event!

I also got some great news on Thursday! On of my other extremely close friends have decided to get married this year!! I am so excited! So many weddings and so much fun! The part I love the most is being able to share these special moments with my friends, it's a blast! Bring on the end of 2012 because this is gonna be amazing!

So life is great at the moment, I'm on the train going to my second last day of work in the city, the thought of having time to go to the gym, play sport, see friends is great! I will also be able to plan the wedding better and really get into the house a bit more. This change is definitely for the better and even though I will miss
My wonderful team at ninemsn, I know it's the right choice to make!

So today....obviously I'll be working, but I also need to book in dress appointments today, for bridesmaid dresses and wedding dresses, both here and in Perth! We also have another expo coming up shortly which will be very fun! Especially now I have some more ideas! Bring it!

Have a great Thai day everyone

Wedding portraits

So its finally Wednesday! And that means tomorrow is a day off!! Can't be happier! It also means there are only 3 days left at ninemsn and more importantly on this stupid train. I'm very excited to be heading back to be a lab tech and to go back to work with some amazing people. Plus free yoghurt is always a win!

Yesterday I got another call saying I'd won more wedding portraits, this one is based in west Preston, still not sure how this ones going to work :s but I'll see what I can work out. I just realized our wedding is only 14 months away! Geez and people keep saying you've got heaps of time, well that may be the case but time certainly does keep on ticking.

I know these wedding portraits are just a way of trying to suck me into buying there other packages, but if they can't come to drouin for a prize winner, what are they going to charge for a wedding day? Another thing I have four disappointing, is that I emailed some car and musicians on Monday night and haven't heard a thing from any of them. So I know think I'm going to make my own invites, as I'm sure it'll be cheaper! As for the music and cars, I'm considering looking in the local papers as less travel might mean less cost.

Then later this week I need to make appointments both here and in Perth to try on the bridesmaid dresses and the dress I am looking at as well.

Have a great Australia day everyone! Enjoy a BBQ, enjoy a beer and hopefully enjoy some
Sunshine as well!

Changes

One of the biggest capabilities that sets them aside from other animals is their ability to handle change; however change can often be something that people find to hard to handle. It may be the fear of the unknown, fear of failure or simply being too comfortable. Some people can be happy without changing, not needing to challenge themself career wise, socially, physically or mentally.

I must say sometimes change and challenges are scary, but I also love the thrill, I loved that I completed a double degree at uni in very different fields and I love that I've had a lot of different jobs because I've learnt so much from all of them and have some great lifelong friendships too. Over the past 2 years I have worked in both the media and in science and I am very happy to say I am going back to science! Working in quality control, working closer to home and working with an amazing crew of people! I can't wait to be back there in 2 weeks, but will be sad to say farewell to ninemsn along the way. But I've achieved my goal to work in the city for a year, make a name for myself where no one knew me and I'm very happy I can say that I did it.

So career change number 2 as a 22 year old is a big move but its the right move. Anyways back to the wedding and changes...the dj we were going to ask to do out music has packed up shop so we are on the look out for someone new (and in the budget)! I know why people are afraid of change because my first questions will be reliability? Professionalism? Good entertainer? But instead of looking at the negatives I need to change my mindset and look at the possibilities, I could get someone great! An up and comer? Someone who may write their own music? The possibilities are endless and I'm excited to start the search.

With weddings things can go wrong, but it doesn't matter if we have an iPod on a dock
In the end because it won't be the end of the world and I think that's something a lot of brides lose sight of along the way and I refuse to be one
Of them

Week 2 operation size 8

Ok so two weeks down into operation size 8 and I've lost another 1.5kg this week!!! Yay!!! It's actually good when u can see the results and why you're eating what you're eating and doing what you're doing.

This week I am going to continue with my eating plan but try and up the exercise, I've been doing a 30 minute walk in my lunch break, I'm going to complement this by doing Pilates and tae-bo after tea each night as well.

The best thing about calorie counting is that u don't have to miss out on the foods you like, you more just have to have them in smaller proportions, I never feel hungry and I never feel like I've over eaten. Plus a sip of a midori infused drink (which I'm allergic too) certainly did help the diet. As I couldn't eat most of yesterday as I had an almighty hangover (and yes a hangover from one sip of a drink)!

So Saturday night I had a great time at my friends engagement party! Was a simple party which are always best, nice food, some decorations, short speeches and good company!!what else can you ask for? It was great to meet some new people and catch up with those I haven't seen for a while as well.

And yesterday I had bridal expo number 2! Heaps of fun! A fashion parade, lots of options for cars, music, and invitations which were my key focus for the day! I must say this one definitely is more worthwhile than the docklands bridal expo! The last in the season is the Australian bridal service expo that is in February, so let's see if I can make the trio!

Eloping?

Yesterday on my way home from work I bumped into a friend. She was married a year or so ago and eloped when her and her hubby were away on holidays, I find eloping really beautiful actually, it shows that it's not about the dress, or the venue, it's simply about how much they love each other which I think is great. One thing she did mention to why they decided to elope was because of not wanting to upset friends by not including them as a bridesmaid. On this, I definitely see where she was coming from.

It is extremely difficult to choose between friends, sisters and relatives, and it almost puts a negative on the day. I have been lucky with my friends, all seemed understanding of my choices and for this I knew it didn't matter who I had chosen cos every one of them will be there on the lead up and my big day and that couldn't make me happier.

As for eloping I tell ya I have been tempted to just fly to Vegas, find an Elvis impersonator and get the job done, but I dunno, I think I want "not a big wedding" but my closest loved ones there to share the moment with us. hopefully those we invite in turn want to be there for us.

I guess in a way, if u elope you may miss out on some things, like the professional photography, but in the end maybe You're better off? They haven't had to offend anyone by not having them on the guest list or in the bridal party, I'm sure they also saved thousands of dollars not having to buy centre pieces, tuxes, dresses, hair, make up, food and drinks. And they got married, they are happy and thats all that matters.

So what would you do? Do you want the big white wedding? Or are you more for just you, your fiancée and a celebrant?

Thursday 19 January 2012

February

So there are 4 shows that I have an addiction with; glee, how I met your mother, the big bang theory and one tree hill. Last night I spent my time watching 3 of these straight from America and will top it off again with one tree hill tonight. There's just something about these shows!! But anyways it made for a relaxing and quiet night which is exactly what I needed.

No worrying about jobs, money, cars, weddings and to some extent even friends. It was nice to clear my mind, in a sense watching these shows is almost some form of meditation for me. And it was most definitely overdue.

So time keeps ticking on over, I can believe we are already nearing the end of January! Time flies when you're having fun ey? So February is going to bring a lot of changes, a new role first and foremost, as a lab technician, going back to the world of food science! A cricket match, It will also bring my 23rd birthday, a scary thought! I'm going to be half way to 50 before I know it! It may also bring a new car, a trip to Perth to visit one of my bridesmaids. So I say! Bring on February!

Have a few weeks of January to fill yet though! This weekend I have a sports massage to try and fix my bung ankle, an engagement party and another bridal expo with the girls! The last day in my current role, I certainly will miss the people but not the train travel by any means!

February 2012 please be good to me!

Wednesday 18 January 2012

Size 8 come at me!

Ok so week one of calorie counting and a half an hour walk has been successful. I have lost 1.5kg this week, and a cm off my waist! No movement on the cms from the butt an legs yet but any progress is good progress. It's enough for motivation into week 2 that's for sure.

So how am I doing it? I have limited my calorie intake to 1200 calories per day. Breakfast: 1.5 slices of whole grain toast with strawberry jam and a multi vitamin juice.
Morning tea: I have one weight watchers bar around 10am and a mini protein bar at 11:30am.
Lunch: 200g low fat vanilla yoghurt with my own chopped and added strawberries, blueberries and raspberries.
Afternoon tea: one banana
Dinner: pretty much anything to the value of 400 calories, can often be BBQ meat and a salad, chicken casserole, tuna pasta.

I also have made it a goal to walk for 30 minutes in my lunch break each day. From monitoring my eating I actually have now learnt to avoid unnecessary snacking, I'm actually hungry when it comes to breakfast, lunch and tea, so I am wasting less food. Bringing my lunch everyday also means I am saving more dollars for the wedding, losing weight, and feeling a lot more energized throughout the day.

After making my own meal plan this week it has confirmed where I want to go with my career and that is too go back to uni to complete my graduate diploma and hopefully masters in human nutrition. Of course this will be post-wedding but finally I know exactly where I am going and what I want to do.

Anyways back to the wedding plans! I have found the most gorgeous bridesmaid dresses and I am extremely excited for the girls to try these on, I have also booked my flights over to Perth for my 3rd bridesmaid so I can see how she feels about the dress too. If all work out this will be ready!!! Then it's just a matter of the girls finding shoes, matching necklaces, earrings and a hairstyle that suits everyone.

So the plans keep ticking on over, I received my invitation quote yesterday, when speaking to the company I asked for invites no more than $3 each as this is our budget and we simply won't spend more, so they send the quote back and the invites are $4.60 each! What a load of crap! I wonder how many people just pay over there budget? People take advantage of brides because they know how much the day means and to be honest I think it's pretty wrong. So I replied to the email saying thanks but no thanks as the quote provided is above the communicated cost limit. Lucky I have my dad on the case now and has found a work friend who might be able to do the same thing for less! If not I'm rounding up the bridesmaids and making the things myself.

From this story I realized I don't need as much as I thought, why do I need centre pieces when the golf club has them already? Why do I need an expensive dress when there is a much cheaper option available? All that matters is that I marry my man on march 23rd 2013. And even if I'm wearing a hessian bag, it'd still be the most amazing day. So don't lose sight of what the day is truly about because you'll end up wasting money!

Tuesday 17 January 2012

Sleepy

Well my phone finally has got reception since getting on the train! So finally I can post. Already my day is off to an edgy start because I forgot to get the local paper to read on the train. Its by far the worst written paper; but I like finding the spelling mistakes and poorly articulated sentences! I also enjoy reading the birthdays, weddings, engagements and seeing what jobs are about.

But if that's the worst part of my day, then I can deal with it! I'm excited for this afternoon, well tonight by the time I get home from work because I get to test drive possibly my new car. Now I wasn't even looking/wanting a new car but an opportunity has come up and it means I could get a super awesome car pretty cheaply. Might just means a few heads will be cut from the wedding haha!

I am absolutely exhausted today! The train is killing me! 20 minutes late last night, argh! Drives me crazy! Anyways excuse the short post but my brain is already refusing to think anymore, wonder how that's gonna go at work today?

Monday 16 January 2012

Operation size 8

Well it's back to the grind on Monday again, and it's fair to say I can't be effed. On the train again, with a massive and a struggle to keep my eyes open because Daz and I both failed at sleeping last night, just from everything we have going on at the moment! I guess the excitement and nervousness gets to everyone eventually.

This past weekend was very productive though, I finally rang the photographer and made an appointment in a week or so to her proofs and hopefully book her in for our big day, I have also asked my closest friends to be bridesmaids or ushers now. So most of the must haves have been completed and I'm so excited for the big day! It's all coming together nicely!

The past 7 days was also the first week of operation size 8! And it was a success, 2kg down! It's amazing what some healthly eating and a 30 minute lunch break can do. Tonight I'll do my measurements and see if any cm's have been lost, but I won't expect too much too soon. I want to lose weight slowly, so it stays off and so I can get back to my old size. Bring on week 2!

This week is hopefully going to fly by! I have dinner tonight at one of my mates place, and have to book our Perth trip finally!!! The rest of the week shouldn't be too busy! I'm
Super excited for Saturday because I have an engagement party! But not just anyone's, one of my best friends!!! Yay!! Can't wait.. We are then backing up the party with a bridal Expo on Sunday!

Hope you all have a great Monday! The sun is back!

Friday 13 January 2012

It's Friday Friday! Gotta get down on Friday

Yay Friday has arrived and may I say thank god! The first week back after a long Christmas break and it has been a struggle to say the least. Getting up
Knowing I won't be back home for 13 hours is difficult to do 5 times in a row and it's fair to say it sucks! You would also have thought that after 11 months of traveling back and forth to the city, 3.5 hours on a train each day that I would have mastered the art of sleeping on the train; however this is simply impossible for me, no matter how tired, I just can't go to sleep when something is moving.

So I guess I have learnt to use my travel time pretty well; for instance writing my blog; paying my bills; researching the wedding, making appointments for dress fittings, doctors (because I am one of those people that is always sick!) and mostly I use the time to call and catch up with friends. So I guess it's not all bad.

I still haven't got around to calling my photographer, really need to get onto that over the weekend; my car battery going flat has really thrown a spanner in the works of routine this week! I also need to confirm back with the celibrant, contact my florist for a quote and then the budgeting should be pretty complete!

Well tomorrow I think I'll be up early to clean the house, then off to work for a few hours and then catch up with a friend and then leftover Thai and a movie will do me for my Saturday night. Sunday I want to get up early and head out to the gym and then I'll
Head back and do all my above wedding planning, I guess I'm
Hoping the next 3 weeks fly by in the blink of an eye; I'll be able to tell you all why soon I promise!

Have a good weekend all cog

Thursday 12 January 2012

Can somebody please tell me how it's already January 12th? Time is moving way too quickly!!! Felt like Christmas was just yesterday!! It's only a couple weeks until Australia day rolls around and before I know it I'll be blowing out 23 candles on the 14th of feb! I guess this is a sign for how quickly the wedding is going to come around!

Luckily I have finally chosen my bridesmaids and asked them to do the honor, I have also asked two other very special friends to do speeches at the reception, and I have began to ask some of my lovely other friends of they would be ushers for me on the big day, honestly I wish I could have had 8 bridesmaids up there but unfortunately it's not a feasible option in the space we have to get married.

My maid of honor has gone full swing into hens planning mode and the weekend sounds simply amazing! It's scary to think that this time next year it will all be upon us, about to go on a hens night, still have to do a bridal shower/kitchen tea for the other ladies in the family. Then we will have the rehearsal dinner and then finally the big day!

But for now my focus is on operation size 8, at least 39 minutes exercise everyday, at least 8 glasses of water and cutting my calories to 1200. The calorie cutting has been the hard part, just because I'm not used of planning out my daily meals, but I am getting there, and I hope by the end of week one there may be some small changes, even of not visible, I hope I feel like I have more energy and that I'm sleeping better.

I have been a bit lazy on the planning front this week, I think because it's the first week back at work and I am struggling with the long days again, I am also struggling for motivation but that's a story to be discussed in the not so distant future.

I must say, the planning has been coming along very nicely, and to budget, and I'm hoping my life will start to follow suit, career wise things are looking up, after the wedding I am going to further my studies and do a honors or masters in nutrition. I hope to have my own business one day, possibly apart of a gym where people can get all the facts about staying healthy under one roof! But I have to get myself healthy before helping others, do in the next 18 months I am
Going to self teach, I am going to buy nutrition text books and learn the ins and outs of it all. In other good news my car battery has been fixed by the future father in law! Lucky since I can't pay him til I get paid :s and on the car front I am excited because I helped a BFF buy a new car yesterday! The house is going really well, and can't wait to get stuck into it again, second lounge room here we come!

Wednesday 11 January 2012

Hump day

I must say I am a big fan of hump day, there is something nice about knowing there is already half the week gone. Knowing the weekend is as close as the last one is gone. And for me it usually means the beginning of the weekend planning.

This weekend is going to be quiet, I'm going to get up early on Saturday, clean the house, do the washing and then I'm off to planet surf for a few hours in the afternoon, I have planned a quick catch up with a friend Saturday arvo who I haven't seen for a little while and then I think I'll spend my Saturday night finishing off painting the spare room! That means on Sunday I can move everything back in there and be clutter free for Monday! I am also hoping to go to the gym and watching a relaxing movie.

Hopefully as well I can choose a photographer and then according to easy weddings I have done everything I need to do up until the 12 month to go mark! The remainder of this week I also need to confirm back with the celibrant, make an appointment with my florist. I can't wait to go dress shopping again!

I've also had some moves on the career front this week, I have decided on my career path, I know where I want to be in 5 years and I know how to further my studies! At the moment I still can't completely digress the details but hey give me another week and I should be able to blurt it out to the world! I must say 2012 has already seen me make some changes, some for me and some probably influenced by the wedding.

For interest! I have begun project 8! Haha yes I am trying to get down to my 17 year old size 8! Partly because I want to look good in my dress but mostly because I want to be healthier and fitter, now I am aware that a size 10 isn't big and yea most people tell me I don't need to lose weight! But I want to be fit and lean again, I want to have an athletic look to me, toned muscles and legs and I also want to improve my eating habits, which I have already started, today for lunch I have a Thai chicken salad for lunch! It's only just gone 7:30am and I want to eat it.

So because of my dress size goal I am going to keep trying on dresses for 4-5 months and then I will order, because once the dress is ordered I will have to maintain the body size and shape because I dont want thousands of alterations. And let's face it! Ordering 7-8 months before the big day is still risk enough, what of I change my mind? I really can't believe it can take 6 months to make a dress!!

Anyways all im off for today! Hope you all have a good hump day!

Tuesday 10 January 2012

The bridal expo

So I haven't gone into much detail as yet about the docklands bridal expo. Last Sunday a carful of us headed down to etihad, pretty excited for what is to come, unsure of what to expect, especially because we had heard so many alternate opinions, "you will hate it, you will never go again" to "it's the best experience, you'll get so much out of it". So it's fair to say I was going in with my ears and eyes open and you know what, it was a great experience.

We didn't find the businesses to be pushy, mostly they would just ask what we were looking for and to give us some information on there respective services, I got to enter a number of competitions (unfortunately none of which I won), I got a lot of samples and a whole lot of ideas, mostly of what I don't want on my day, but a few that if the budget allows I may also consider.

Overall I got to meet some musicians, taste some cake, see a lot of wedding photos, briefly met some celebrants and djs, so i would definitely recommend heading that way if you are stumped for ideas, need some advice or want to find the perfect people for your day! My favourite part was actually seeing all the wedding cars, old and new, from jags to stretched hummers.

In fact we had so much fun, we are planning on heading there again on the 22nd to the bridal expo at the convention centre, this one proves to be bigger and better again, it also includes honeymoon destinations, and an opportunity to win a $50k wedding package (yes please)!!

Once the bridal expo season is over, I think it'll be back to the dress shopping for both myself as a bride and a bridesmaid and for my own bridesmaids, I'll tell ya what! Life is gonna be busy this year and I can't wait to enjoy every second of it!

Monday 9 January 2012

Back to the grind

It's 7:30 and I'm back on the train to work in the city for the first time in two weeks, and honestly even with that, I'd prefer to be still in bed curled up next to my favourite, but our aim is to go into every day a bit more relaxed, we are getting up 10 minutes earlier to make sure we eat and don't have to rush to get me on the train. We are also going to go for a walk every night after tea instead of watching tv, hopefully we will feel better both physically and mentally because of the change.

Anyways yesterday was my first experience of a bridal expo! I headed down there with some lovely ladies and had a really fun time, going in the competitions, getting some ideas and working out what I can afford, what I can't, what I like and what I dont and it was really an enjoyable experience! Hopefully another one to come in the not to distant future.

I've also got the bridesmaids already planning the hens night, well weekend in Queensland, and it's gonna be an absolute blast!! So excited for everything to pan out! These will be the experiences I'm never going to forget, with people that mean everything to me and to officially be stuck with my man forever.

Today will also be a big day for my career and what path I choose to take, by the end of the day I will know where I will be for the next 5 years at least and hopefully longer, I'm excited
To commit to a job I enjoy, with people who pushed me to be the best I can be and most importantly a fun and supportive working environment, so bring on home time today when hopefully I'll know what my life will hold for the next important years of my life, which will give me the stability to have my dream wedding and honeymoon, to keep doing up our house, to at some point upgrade our cars and eventually have a little family of our own; I must say this is the first time I have ever looked this far ahead but it is what I want, it's where I want to be.

I feel like 2011 was a year I let slide by, where I no longer had control of my destiny and 2012 and beyond will be different! I garuntee it!

Tuesday 3 January 2012

Smashing the Planning!!!!

I LOVE planning!!!! I really do, budgeting, setting up timelines and organisation is just my favourite thing ever!! I am a nerd and I know it!!! Haha but anyways, at least hopefully that will mean, by the time the wedding day comes around I am going to be soooo ready for it!!!

Today I looked up quotes for photographers and videographers. I have found a couple of photographers I really like, but I do want to head to the bridal expo before I make a decision on my photographer for the big day. Also after a long day of questioning videography, I have decided I dont need one, and that I would rather increase my photographer budget! I am then hoping I will be able to get a friend to film a little bit on the day! Anyone out there handy with a video camera haha?

Some photographers are simply amazing! The photos they have in their portfolios amaze me, and I feel like my money is much better spent on stills rather than a video I may never watch again. And as a trusty friend just told me "if it means you can get your dream flowers or invites, then I think photos will be enough", very well said!

Now I have also asked my bridesmaids if they will do the honours, I have also asked two of my best friends in the world to do the speeches at the reception. Now to my other beautiful friends, I will definitely be asking them to plan the hens party and be ushers on the big day! I feel great that  have been able to include everyone in on our big day and I must say everyone has been fantastic!!

So next on the list is official dress shopping, taking the girls to see the dream dress and the other much cheaper but gorgeous dress and making a decision on which one! And then also delving deeper into the bridesmaid dress hunt! Must say some very exciting times ahead, and my first ever bridal expo is just a few days away!!!

Monday 2 January 2012

Less than 15 months to go...

So according to the wonderful easyweddings.com.au I am on track with my planning, venue selected for boh the wedding and reception, celibrant has been selected, I have chosen my bridal party, I ha e sourced quotes for flowers and for the invitations, all that I have to do before March now if keep looking at dresses, find a photographer and a videographer. We also have finished our preliminary guest list to be finalised at a later date! I feel organised, on track and I am having an absolute ball in the process!!!

I have always wanted to be an event planner, so I know I am going to enjoy all of this, and let nothing or no one get in my way. Its our day and its gonna go the way we want it too! I'm pretty excited that I have found the perfect bridesmaid dresses! I am also looking forward to including everyone in the day in another role, perhaps as ushers, joint MCs or in the lead up with the bridal shower and hens night!

Tomorrow I am going to contact a couple of travel agents and see if they can do us some good packages for the Honeymoon so we know what we are looking at moneywise so we can start saving! Im such an impatient person! I so want to send people invitations already!!! I cant wait to achieve one of my dreams and see the US and most importantly I cant wait to marry my dream man!

2012 I hope you go fast, and bring on 2013!!!
